We will be tasting the English Strong Bitter (ESB) brewed during our February 20th group brew day. Members fermented out approximately 12.5 gallons of ESB using a variety of yeasts, as well as a funky version using Brett.
We will taste our club-brewed versions and see how they stack up again BJCP's style standards (Category 11C) as well as one or two of the commercial examples available on the market. It should be interesting to experience the differences in yeast flavor profiles compared to the classic style representations.
Bring yourself and a snack to share. We'll provide the beers. Location info will be mailed to members closer time to the event.
Note: This is a member event, which means you need to be a dues paying member to attend. Your dues help pay for the ingredients for brewing and beer provided for tasting at events like this. Click here to learn how to join.
